i am looking to make a fermented drink (possibly beet kvass, orsomething with carrots, celery, and ginger) without using whey.
the purpose is to have an replenishing, electrolyte-rich concoctionto drink in place of water all day.
does anyone know if this is possible?
Tried making beet kvass per [tag]NT[/tag] the other night, and after letting it sit for twodays at room temp and three days in the fridge, I tried a sip. I didn’t tasteanything but saltiness! SO said it tasted like salt and beets. I used [tag]whey[/tag] asper the recipe and I think I used what it called for- a tablespoon of salt, orso.
just wonderign what are the benifits of ginger beer? vitamins ect ect
i have 3 bottles that happened to be compelted today and have just wacked emin the fridge.
i used powered ginger from the indian store and lemon/raw honey
( teh culture was also done with powdered ginger )
